![]() So it's back to the custom settings being set for just about everything to play at 96k, where everything mostly plays nice with each other for all the 5.1 material.įor straight 2 channel that's 176 or 192k in particular, I'm going out of my way to manually reset those sample rates when need be.īut major draw to A+ for me was the automatic sample rate change and the upgrade for multi-channel hi-rez playback. It still, changed track, showed new track & showed the sample rate change correctly but just sits at the beginning of the new track until I hit stop, A+ releases the computer and I hit play the new track again. Well, thanks for the suggestion, but I just gave that a shot and marked off "None" under Forced Upsampling while I was at it and no change in the way A+ performs. Thanks in you tried unchecking "Optimize System For Audio Playback"?Ī+ does not run on my OSX 10.6.8 Mac with this option checked, yet seems to work OK with it unchecked. I should also mention that it functions exactly the same way whether in integrated iTunes mode or not. It all works and sounds just great, except for the fact that when a sample rate change occurs music playback from the Mac & A+ just ceases to function.ĭoes anybody have the slightest clue as to why this might be?Īny help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The VP simultaneously feeds via HDMI the rest of the 5.1 signal to a CB-III HD surround sound processor. VIII series 3 DAC for the front 2 channels of 5.1 DSD converted to PCM The Video Processor then outputs Digital Coax to my Theta Gen. I'm currently outputting the Mac via HDMI to an external Video Processor. I have a late 2010 Mac Mini running 10.6.8 with 8gb ram and external drives. Unfortunately, my only option to continue music playback appears to be that I need to hit stop, wait for A+ to release the computer and then hit play again on the new track with the new sample rate, it then plays the correct sample rate.until the next change of sample rate is required and everything just stops again. I've read that people have experienced pops, clicks or ticks when their sample rate automatically changes and at this point I'd be quite happy with that sort of a result. When a track change occurs and the new track has a sample rate different from the prior tracks sample rate, I see A+ change to the new track, I see A+ load the new track, I see A+ recognizes that there was a change in sample rate, but it just sits there at the beginning of the new track and never starts playback. There has been a couple of new versions since then but my result is still exactly the same. Thksīack on July 9th, post 22 of this thread I posted that the new version of A+ at the time did not automatically switch between sample rates when moving from track to track. If you guys facing the same troubles could try by yourself and tell me your feeling. In a previous post, I was asking for settings advice, because to be honnest, the user manual is quite light about that. Not sure it will last so long than taxes, but for me, and for my configuration, it seems that issue went out. It might be a turn-around to solve the above issue to change the Preference Sysoptimizer settings to Max for Audirvana Priority. Please Damien, bring us a quick release and maintain this outstanding sound quality !!Ĭan't say enough thank you to Damien for the extensive work he is doing for our hobby enligthment. Already seen this strange behaviour in a previous version. Unfortunately, there is an issue back with the end of each track and the beginning of each new one (3seconds are missing for both tracks), and there are random songs parts in between. Real sound enhancement with this version ( Itunes integrated mode, wifi Airport, Direct Mode, Flac & Izotope X2). Gapless transition when using filters (Audio Units and/or sample rate conversion)Īnd I'm now going to some more days of vacations before working on the next big thing.Default set to +6dB (comparable sound level as native DSD playback) Configurable gain boost for DSD to PCM conversion.SysOptimizer: add option to increase Audirvana Plus priority for better Sound Quality. It brings, in addition to the audible SQ improvement: It is now available through the automated update feature ("Check for updates" in Audirvana Plus menu) And here is the 1.5.5 unveiled by Superdad!
